The leading credit bureau in the country, Datacredito announced that within the framework of the strategic alliance signed with the Business Software Alliance BSA since 2010, has added to its information system credit bureau risk of a module called Compliance Risk Indicator BSA.
This indicator tracks the risk score of companies that have reported and verified the authenticity of the use of software licenses that are used in their computer systems.
As a direct contribution to a culture of respect for intellectual property rights in the Dominican Republic, two institutions made available to different financial institutions and customers of the bureau, the new query to begin to evaluate and use in their analysis credit.
also reported that Data-credit has begun to incorporate into their information systems judicial seizure cases to justice the alleged perpetrators of the Copyright Act, to be treated or reported as permitted by the Constitution the Dominican Republic in its Article 44, paragraph 4, which provides that information may be divulged public records from an opening that was involved on trial, in accordance with the law.
The statements were offered during a press conference which was attended by executives from CREDIT DATA, Albert Adam, corporate vice president, Roddy Martinez, Vice President, Business, and representing the BSA, Jaime Angeles. Jaime Angeles
invited business owners and managers who are missing licenses to catch up with its computer inventory. "This is a breakthrough in the fight against piracy and seeks to ensure the future of companies in the country in terms of their IT resources, translated into productivity, efficiency and growth, "said Angeles.
It also said that the implementation of this new measurement of credit risk in addition to initiatives by other institutions are being made to combat this scourge.
pointed out that BSA will continue to promote, together with the prosecution, legal actions against those establishments that use computers with pirated software, so as to protect consumers and reduce piracy rates, and that 7 out of 10 computers using pirated software.
